Aquascutum

“It’s raining, it’s pouring…” so I’m all about outerwear right now.  I know some of you are still very much bundled up in fake furs and heavy wools, but even for you it will be time to focus on variations of the trench and this season camel is the color of choice, the rest is up to you for your Dandi style.

What I love about the outerwear jacket above by Aquascutum is that it has the look and function of both a winter and transitioning into spring coat,  it is also the preferred length of jacket length for the 2012 season.

And even though camel and khaki are the trends for the season there is nothing I love to do more than to buck the trends of the hour, so going navy or black with your trench will have you standing out in a crowd, and that is always preferable to this Dandi.

And for those Dandi readers that are still up to their boots in snow, here is a beautiful Aquascutum outerwear coat that will give you the elegance you seek and the warmth you desire!

CP Company

“Baby, it’s cold, outside…”  Well in some places.  Not so much where I live  but I know that some of my fellow Dandi’s actually have to wear coats in the winter, and not always just to be fashionable.

It is a rare day that I will option for practical over style but when it is 20 below I say skip the tailored looks that tend to come in cashmere and wool and go for the world of modern technological fabrics that are lightweight and will keep you warm when those winds come whipping down the plains.

And with CP Company you can have both fashion and warmth (actually never sacrifice fashion for avoiding frostbite, I was just kidding!)  I mean, look at the jacket above, the hood and goggles are  attached to the jacket.  And you know it’s cold when you need goggles!

Oh yes, and if you are going to be inside, they also make great stylish pieces that give a Dandi that casual but ‘serious about fashion’ look I do so enjoy.

Moncler

I really love Moncler’s way of turning sportswear into something truly fashionable.  White was one of the running themes in this spring collection.  I think that they do some very interesting things when it comes to some of the tried and true looks for spring.

This look reminds me of something that you might wear to a private school. Lol   I think that I like everything here only worn separately.  I love the outer coat and the jacket and the shorts but I wouldn’t wear them all together.  And check out the shoe socks.  And of course the ever present headband lets you know that Moncler is yet another designer giving a nod to the upcoming Olympics.

And if you weren’t really convinced that there were nods throughout this collection we have cute numbers like this one that give the feeling of a Fencer on his way to a match (overdressed none-the-less).  I would wear this jacket with just about everything I own. Love it!

The Baseball Jacket

Having a jacket to complete your casual look is a must.  There are many to choose from; the hoodie, bomber, military inspired or windbreaker but this season’s style is the baseball jacket. Welcome to the big leagues!

For the Dandi this jacket can be worn open or zipped to highlight those much worked out abs.  It is best worn with a collarless shirt so that you don’t look in the mirror and see that you’ve been trying to flirt with your collar all twisted and sticking up funny because of the way the jacket collar lays.

Smooth clean lines are the order of the day when you wear waist length outerwear.  Keep your pants or shorts flat-front (so you don’t wind up looking like your grandpa) and jeans are always a safe bet.  Spice up the look by adding a Fedora and some cool aviator sunglasses.
